Jeep History; Transformation of the Willy's Jeep to the current Wrangler and other Jeep models.
Jeep has had a tough battle in ensuring that it has held it flag high in the air. Were it not for their resilience they would probably have been forgotten long ago. The journey began in the 1940 when the Willy Jeep was produced by the Willys-Overland Motor Co to date where it ownership and production is carried on by a multi-national corporation known as Stellantis. On 16th July 1941 in the automotive realm, Willys -Overland Motor Co of Toledo, Ohio produced the first USA military Jeep under Karl Probst who was a freelancer auto designer from Detroit. On the battlefield, the vehicle was not only nimble and tough but also fast and could handle nearly all the terrains. The vehicle was an 1840 pounds Bantam that towed anti-tank weapons and could be mounted with a machine gun.
